Yet, nutrition guidance that specifically considers women's unique needs throughout the lifestyle is lacking. Women are the primary targets of dangerous fad diet messaging, which often overlaps with plant-based eating trends. Plant-based foods offer many health benefits to women, as long as they are incorporated into a balanced eating pattern that takes into consideration women's unique needs.
