The Best Homemade Hummus

Yield: about 1-1.5 cups

This basic hummus is a simple, always-on-hand staple that makes instant lunches and snacks possible.

Ingredients:

  • 1 15-oz. can chickpeas
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Drain and rinse chickpeas
  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Blend until smooth, adding water a little at a time until the desired texture is reached.
